First work day

Everyone arrived safely yesterday and their luggage as well thank G-d. After a nights rest(some slept better than others) we were off to work today. One group worked in the home of an Ethiopian single mother. Fixing and repairing many broken things. The second group worked in the home of a disabled Israeli lady. Her house has not seen a coat of paint in many years. We will return to her house on Wednesday to finish. While there, at her request, we prayed for her. She has frequent battles with bladder infections and today she was not feeling well at all. She has been in a wheelchair for 28 years but continues to praise G-d for all He does for her. Tomorrow is suppose to be very hot. We will begin work in two more homes at 8:30 am and work all day. Please pray for strength and health for everyone.

Shabbath

Today has been a wonderful day, quiet, peaceful and just great. For those of you who have never been in Jerusalem there is really nothing like it. Jean and I went to the Western Wall today which is always a very very moving spiritual experience. Tomorrow the group from America comes to join us and then the work begins. Pray for them as they travel. David

Work

Today Jean and I visited with one lady we will be helping. Her name is Marsel. She is in a wheelchair and dependent on others to care for her. She lives in a dingy apartment that has not seen a coat of paint in years. She loves the L-rd and is thankful for every thing He does for her. We sat and talked until she tired and had to rest. We left in awe of her faith. There is so much she needs done in her place. Please pray that we can bless while we are with her on Monday and Tuesday. Today we have had a sharav, a sand storm
blowing in from the desert. Visibility is zero. May each of you have a great Shabbat

Made it to Jerusalem yesterday. Jean and I visited two of the work sites and met the single mothers for which we will be working. Each place needs a lot of repairs and painting. We have a couple of meetings today and then off to a show this evening. For those of you in Florida the low tonight is 50 degrees. Tomorrow is a countrywide civil defense drill which should be interesting. That is about it for now. David

Jerusalem

Today we are off to Jerusalem. We will spend the next few days checking out the worksites, will keep you posted.
We had a beautiful day today. We spent the day touring the Galilee looking for new sites to visit with the group. The weather is perfect about
70 degrees and bright sun shine. The nights have been spectacular. Tomorrow we are off to Jerusalem checking on the worksites, please continue to pray for this work trip and the people which will be coming to help. David
